Summary: Armando's area of expertise is on Health Technology Assessment with focus on model-based economic evaluation using dynamic modelling techniques
Location: Room 11.59B, Level 11, Worsley Building, Clarendon Way
Armando's research is focused on health technologies assessment, including economic evaluations alongside clinical trials and decision-analytic modelling. His main interest is in model-based economic evaluation using dynamic methods such as discrete event simulation and differential equations models. He is also interested in using these tools to explore the consequences of an intervention or diagnostic test on the overall health system (resource allocation, queuing and delays)
Armando has a PhD the University of Sheffield in which he employed different dynamic modelling techniques and calibration methods. He previously worked at the Economic Analysis Unit at the Ministry of Health Mexico where he worked in the development of several public policy strategies related to the improvement of access and provision of healthcare.
