Postgraduate

Leeds Institute of Health Sciences offers a wide range of postgraduate research and taught postgraduate opportunities which are integrated with, and informed by, our research that supports decisions about the content or delivery of healthcare. This includes Diploma, Masters, PhD and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (D.Clin.Psychol) programmes. Our expertise lies in applied health research designs, health implementation sciences, social sciences, health economics, informatics and statistics, as well as skills in communicating with basic scientists, policy makers, healthcare providers, public and patients. Our approach is interdisciplinary and pragmatic, ensuring findings have utility in national and international real world contexts.

Postgraduate study at LIHS draws on this expertise, allowing you to focus on your area of interest; whether this be primary care, public health, international health, new technologies in health, psychosocial aspects of health, healthcare systems in the UK and other developed economies, or the development of applied health research methods.

Our postgraduate students come from a wide range of backgrounds. All our courses are underpinned by our methodological expertise, and offer the opportunity to carry out high quality research using a range of methods, theories and policies to investigate key issues in the context of health and illness.
