Leeds Institute of Health Sciences makes a substantial contribution to the delivery of the undergraduate medical degree (MBChB). In addition, Institute staff are responsible for specific components of the course:

  • Management and teaching of Years 1 and 2 Integrated Core Unit (ICU): Individuals and Populations
  • Leadership, teaching and placements for Primary Care, which is an integral part of every year of the curriculum, offering a clinical experience which we believe is unique amongst UK medical schools.
  • Management and delivery of Year 4 Psychiatry Integrated Core Unit (ICU)
  • Leadership, management and teaching input to the Research Evaluation and Special Studies (RESS) strand of the undergraduate curriculum, including provision of Special Studies projects.
