Clinical Leadship

New for 2017, the School of Medicine is offering two postgraduate modules in Clinical Leadership and Management. These modules will form part of an exciting new postgraduate suite of Clinical Leadership programmes in the School of Medicine and are available NOW as ‘Continuing Professional Development (CPD), with an option to convert them into credits to build towards a postgraduate qualification for the academic year 2017-2018.

CLINICAL LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT

This module allows participants to explore the context surrounding the changing role of clinical leadership and clinicians in the management of health and care services. The module aims to identify factors that influence professional relationships educating participants in how to create more productive future relationships and how to evaluate the effectiveness of these within their own organisation.

COMMISSIONING FOR WHOLE SYSTEMS

This module will help participants understand how to commission healthcare for individuals and populations, the policy context of primary care commissioning and the effects on the local system.
This module provides insight into the theory of commissioning for population health in group and experiential learning setting.
