Summary: I lead the radiation therapy research group within LICSB. My research interests include optimizing radiotherapy for gastrointestinal cancers and the design of clinical trials to demonstrate improved patient outcome with novel radiotherapy techniques.
Location: Level 4 Bexley Wing St James Institute of Oncology
Teaching Commitments: Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching commitments within the University of Leeds and teaching on ESTRO and ESO courses internationally.
David Sebag-Montefiore is the Audrey and Stanley Burton Professor of Clinical Oncology and Health Research at the University of Leeds and a practicing clinical oncologist at the St James Institute of Oncology, Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust.
He qualified at St Bartholomew’s Hospital and his clinical oncology training was conducted at St Bartholomew’s, Middlesex and Mount Vernon hospitals. His research interests have focused on improving patient outcomes in gastrointestinal cancer and clinical trials.
