Summary: I am a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow studying melanoma gene expression in relation to immune response.

Location: Cancer Genetics Building

I am using bioinformatic approaches to understand the biological basis of immune gene expression patterns and, in particular, to determine if algorithms can be used to dissect immunological pathways. I will then test the resultant hypotheses in histological and laboratory models with the aim of developing prognostic biomarkers.

I obtained a BSc degree in Molecular Biology at the Adam Mickiewicz University (AMU) in Poznan, Poland. I was then co-funded by the European Union to undertake an International Masters degree in Medical Biotechnology at AMU. I joined Prof Julia Newton Bishop's group as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow, being part of MELGEN* European Training Network (ETN).

*Funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 641458.
