Summary: Judy is a Senior Information Specialist. She leads the development of health research information support in LIHS.

Judy is a qualified librarian and leads information specialist services for Leeds Institute of Health Sciences. The Information Specialists team is located within the Academic Unit of Health Economics. It supports research staff within AUHE, LIHS, and also staff undertaking systematic reviews across the University. Information specialist support is offered to research staff in NHS Trusts across Yorkshire via the NIHR Research Design Service for Yorkshire and the Humber.
Judy manages a portfolio of services including custom-made literature searching, reference management and search methodology advice for systematic reviews, evidence syntheses, research proposal scoping, economic evaluations and cost-effectiveness models.
Judy also teaches research information skills on postgraduate dissertation modules, systematic review courses and leads the LIHS Mini Masterclass series. Courses cover search methods, health databases, eg MEDLINE, Cochrane Library, and reference management software, eg EndNote.
