Dr Mahua Das is a Teaching Fellow in Health Policy and Systems at the Nuffield Centre for International Health and Development. She has a background in Sociology and Social Policy. She is also currently working on the EU funded CREATE leprosy research project.
Mahua has an experience of working in this sector with NGOS and the academia. Trained as a qualitative researcher (skills in documentary analysis, face to face interviews and focus groups), she has developed skills in policy research and understanding complex health system issues and interventions in Asia and Africa. With an expertise in evaluation methods (process and realist), research topics like maternal health, health inequalities and stigmatization, health promotion and behavior change for the vulnerable; and the role of evidence in health policy have been areas of her past research.
