Summary: Principal Statistician
Location: 10.79, Level 10, Worsley Building
I joined the CTRU in 2014 as Principal Statistician within the complex intervention division. I play a key role in the development of grant applications and supervise all statistical aspects of the design, monitoring and evaluation of trials primarily within the divisions stroke and elderly care portfolio.
My previous experience as a statistician within health research lies in the design and analysis of complex interventions in resource-poor settings with a focus on malaria. This included providing technical leadership in the development of the overall statistical components for the ACT Consortium, an international research consortium consisting of twenty five studies across 10 countries across Africa and Asia. I was also co-investigator and collaborator on a number of the consortiums complex clinical trials focusing on intervention strategies, targeted at health workers in the public and private sectors, and in the community, to inform international health policy and practice.
