Sheffield Children's Hospital Sleep Service-Clinical Placement (September 2016-December 2016)
During my PhD, I completed a three month clinical placement at Sheffield Childrens Hospital Sleep Service under the supervision of Professor Heather Elphick. This placement enabled me to gain invaluable hands-on clinical and research experience within an NHS setting. During my placement I was able to attend the sleep clinic, the research meetings and I worked on the sleep unit on an evening. I received one-to-one training from Dr Ruth Kingshott (Senior Sleep Physiologist) on how to analyse the polysomnography (sleep) data I collected during my PhD.
