Funding success in dementia research

The Clinical Trials Research Unit (CTRU) are involved in a new grant awarded to look into how to improve cancer treatment and care for people living with both cancer and dementia.

Funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Research for Patient Benefit Programme and led by Professor Claire Surr, Professor of Dementia Studies at Leeds Beckett University the study will be the first to profile the size and demographics of the population of people with cancer and dementia from a large dataset of GP records.

The CTRU team includes Professor Amanda Farrin, Michelle Collinson and Ellen Mason.
