MRC Studentship: Economic Evaluation of a Point-of-Care Test to Rapidly Diagnose Infection

We have a PhD studentship available to EU and UK Students. Closing date Fri 18th May 2018

Economic Evaluation of a Point-of-Care Test to Rapidly Diagnose Infection (Medical Research Foundation National PhD Training Programme in AMR Research)

In this 4 year, MRC-funded PhD, you will use economic modelling to explore the characteristics of the new test required for it to be clinically- and cost-effective. This project will facilitate the development of strong economic modelling skills, experience in analysing routinely-collected healthcare data, and exposure to the laboratory validation of novel in-vitro diagnostic tests. There is some flexibility in the specific focus of the PhD, but it does need to complement the antimicrobial resistance programme.
