The School of Dentistry has received the prestigious silver Athena SWAN award from the Equality Challenge Unit in recognition of its work promoting equality and inclusivity.
The Silver Award demonstrates that the School has taken positive actions to ensure that policies, processes and ethos all promote an equal and inclusive environment for work and study. It has been awarded only two years after achieving the first stage Bronze award.
The Silver award will be valid until April 2021 and the School will now be working to deliver the new objectives as set out in our Silver Action Plan. The main goal is to build a universally supportive culture of equality and inclusivity that benefits all and facilitates our staff and students to reach their full potential.
Congratulations to everyone that has supported the Athena SWAN initiative in the School.
