The Leeds Institute of Cancer and Pathology (LICAP) is organised into nine sections which interlink with the Cancer Research UK Leeds Centre and the Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre (ECMC) and also work closely with the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. We are based at the St Jamess University Hospital campus and have staff in the Cancer Research, Wellcome Trust Brenner, Clinical Sciences, Robert Ogden and Cancer Genetics Buildings and the Bexley Wing at St Jamess University Hospital.
LICAP focuses on laboratory and translational biomedical research into cancer which includes research into pre-cancer genomics, haematology, oncology, the development and pathology of cancers, clinical trials and epidemiology. One of our strengths is our multi-disciplinary collaborative research linking basic and applied research with healthcare and clinical needs.
