The Leeds Institute of Medical Education (LIME) is a multidisciplinary institute that through scholarship, research, innovation and partnership aims to enhance the practise of medical education globally. 

LIME leads the delivery of the prestigious Leeds MB ChB degree which ranks joint fourth for overall satisfaction in the UK's National Student Survey (2012). Our expertise in the delivery of medical curricula has allowed us to work with national and international partners to develop and implement successful curricula within their local context. LIME is also responsible for delivering an intercalated BSc in Applied Health Sciences (Medical Education), a MSc in Child Health and a range of high quality professional development programmes and conferences for medical educators.

LIME is involved in conducting and evaluating original enquiry and research; this in the development of innovation and scholarship in the field of medical education. We work with a wide range of national and international stakeholders including the academic community, the health professions, the public, regulators, policy makers and other commercial and non-commercial organisations. We are committed to both enhancing existing collaborations and to creating new ones (including through consultancy) this to develop new strands of activity and enquiry that help move forward the discipline of medical education.

LIME's areas of research enquiry include, workplace learning, assessment, and enhancing student learning.  We welcome enquiries from prospective PhD students and postgraduate research students.
