Consultancy and Services

Leeds Institute of Health Sciences offers a wide range of consultancy services to national and international governmental, non-governmental, voluntary and educational organisations, and partners in the healthcare industry. In the UK these include NICE, the NHS (local and regional trusts) local authorities and community organisations. Globally they include WHO, UNICEF and departments for International Development and for Health.

Services include the provision of expert advice on policy and strategy, carrying out needs assessment and technology appraisals, providing technical assistance in developing and upscaling training guides, and the development, evaluation and deployment of clinical decision aids.

The Nuffield Centre for International Health and Development is a partner in the Health and Education Advice and Resource Team (HEART), which provides knowledge and consultancy services for advisers at the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and the wider public to inform policy and practice in health, nutrition and education. The NIHR funded Yorkshire and Humber Research Design Service provides design and methodological support to university and NHS based health researchers to facilitate the production of high quality applications to NIHR and other national peer-reviewed funding programmes for applied health or social care research.
