Continuing Professional Development

In additional to our extensive taught postgraduate provision, the School of Medicine offers a broad range of courses and workshops for researchers and health professionals from all disciplines, which are informed by our research and methodological expertise.

Examples of CPD courses currently available include:

  • A programme of workshops designed to support clinical and non-clinical colleagues who teach medical undergraduates, including Educational Theory, OSCE Examining, Small Group Teaching, Mentoring provided by the Leeds Institute for Medical Education 
  • A range of professional development courses for health informatics professionals run by the Yorkshire Centre for Health Informatics
  • Short courses for public health professionals run by the Academic Unit of Public Health
  • Customised short courses run by the Nuffield Centre for International Health and Development for groups of professionals from low to middle income countries
  • Rasch analysis (Leeds Institute of Rheumatic & Musculoskeletal Medicine
  • A range of professional development courses for professionals run by the Leeds Family Therapy and Research Centre
