The Clinical Education PGCert provides a responsive, work-related and academically robust route for all healthcare practitioners who engage with teaching and learning, whether in clinical settings or Higher Education institutions. The programme equips individuals to become exceptional education practitioners. It will strengthen your insights into the evidence-base which underpins the education and assessment of the next generation of clinical practitioners in your practice area.
The programme provides research-led teaching and coaching from a highly experienced, interdisciplinary team of expert tutors. These are drawn from the Faculty of Medicine and Health, Health Education England Yorkshire and the Humber, the School of Education, and practitioners from NHS Trusts.
You can also study this subject at a Master of Education level, carrying forward your credits from the Clinical Education PGCert.
The Clinical Education PGCert has been accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). This enables registered nurses and midwives to gain a recordable teaching qualification. Recognition as a Fellow, Higher Education Academy, is available to all students who successfully complete the programme.
