Why intercalate?

Intercalation offers today’s medical and dental students a significant opportunity for self development and investment in a future career. Students choose to intercalate for different reasons: some seek to explore new subjects; others to enhance existing skills and knowledge; and some to prepare for their chosen career. Whatever the reason, by combining existing medical or dental training with a year’s education in a complementary subject, students can improve their future employability and career enhancement through Intercalation.

At Leeds we warmly welcome medical and dental students from within the University of Leeds and students from other Universities into our programmes of study; supporting them all to meet their full potential.

If you are considering intercalating at Leeds next year (or in the future) we hope these pages will provide you with sufficient information to make an informed choice and will introduce you to the exciting opportunities on offer at Leeds. If after reviewing the pages you have further questions please email intercalate@leeds.ac.uk or the administrative lead from individual programmes of study.

Best wishes to those just starting their studies here at Leeds. I wish you an exciting, informative and productive year!
