The BHRC delivers translational research by facilitating the progression of basic science into clinical applications.  Molecular biology tools underpin our ability to understand the processes that cause disease, and will ultimately lead to development of diagnostic tools and therapies for specific disorders.    Utilising certain technologies to their full potential can be  expensive and requires specialist equipment and expertise. The BioScreening Technology Group (BSTG) has been established to deliver a service that will provide academics and clinicians access to such technologies.

The BSTG provides an interactive service to characterise protein function and interactions of target biomolecules, and support for the identification and preliminary validation of potential biomarkers (diagnostic, prognostic or predictive) and therapeutic targets.
