Progress Monitoring

Training Plan - It is a requirement that all students undertake a Training Needs Analysis and complete a Training Plan in conjunction with their supervisor(s) within one month of commencing their studies.  The Faculty Graduate School will send a request for this to be completed when you commence your studies.  You should then meet with your supervisors to discuss and agree a training plan.  The completed training plan should be uploaded to the University’s system for maintaining a record of the research degree candidature.

Collection of Supervision Meeting Records - It is a University of Leeds regulation that you should meet with your supervisors at least 10 times per year for a full time student and at least 6 times per year for a part time student.  These meetings should be formally recorded on the University’s system for maintaining a record of the research degree candidature and signed off as agreed by you and your supervisor(s). 

Completion of Progress Reports - It is a University of Leeds regulation that progress reports are completed for all students at 6th months, 1 year and annually thereafter.  The Faculty Graduate School will send the request for a progress report to your supervisor(s) at the appropriate time.  The form should be completed by you and your supervisor(s) and the completed form uploaded to the University’s system for maintaining a record of the research degree candidature.
