International Students

Support for International Students

Leeds has a long history of providing excellent academic and support services for international students and the University offers a truly multicultural study environment.  We are familiar with the special needs of international students and have developed a responsive support service to help students to make the most of their time with us.

International Student Office

The International Student Office, based in the International Office, aims to help international students have the best experience at Leeds.  You can get help and advice with any questions or worries you may have, or just drop in for a friendly chat about how you are getting on.  There is specialist advice available on issues like immigration, opening bank accounts, working regulations, Council Tax, and arranging schooling and childcare.  The International Student Office runs a programme of trips and social activities and helps students to connect with the community outside the University, for example by linking students to UK families.  The office provides a lounge, where international students can go to relax and meet each other.
