The School of Healthcare is dedicated to meeting the continuing development needs of professionals by channelling the research, innovation, teaching skills and knowledge developed by the School's academic and research centres into the work environment.
The School scored highly in the Research Exercise Framework (2014), as internationally excellent in terms of originality, significance and rigour' and we are particularly proud of the impact of our research - this was rated 4th in the country.
Choosing your course
Our courses are divided into undergraduate and postgraduate entry. Select an area to search through from the list on the left of this page. We have a range of programmes for modern healthcare professionals looking to transform their career, some of which are offered in long and short form and with a part-time option.
Applying for a course
Currently, courses are free of charge to NHS staff working within the Yorkshire and the Humber region. However, places are limited and you should plan your training well in advance and check with your line manager before applying. You can apply in advance from the start our academic year each September, to start the following year. Applications will continue to be be accepted through the summer while places are available.
