According to the National Cancer Research Institute, the city of Leeds is ninth in the UK by cancer research funding. The University has active cancer research grants totalling over £100m, whilst as our strategic partner, LTHT has over 200 cancer treatment trials running at any one time. Our research covers a huge range of specialist areas from surgical robotics to data analytics and is supported by a variety of local, regional, national and international funders, including pharmaceutical companies.
The University is also actively engaged in fundraising. Our £100m Making a World of Difference campaign is engaging with alumni and other donors to fund projects across the campus and has a particular current focus on supporting our work in brain cancer.
On behalf of our patients, volunteers and staff we would like to say a sincere thank you to all our funders.
