The School of Healthcare is an interdisciplinary school with a focus on high quality applied research and research-led teaching. Our research underpins policy, practice and education and makes a positive difference to health and well-being. We have a strong focus on interdisciplinary collaboration and service user and carer involvement in research projects. We have one overarching grouping for our research activity: Long-Term Conditions and Self-Management (LTC&SM), particularly among older people. This is organised into five topic areas; pain and cancer care, medicines management, wound management, mental health and maternal, child and family health. In addition we have two areas that cut across projects; decision making and methodological development.
